District B Recruiting U7 & U9 Program Coordinators
2023-11-09District B is looking for volunteers to oversee our U7 and U9 programs. We are looking for one volunteer at the U7 level and up to two volunteers for the U9 level. The coordinator role involves overseeing the delivery of the HEOs Pathways directives with all our District teams within these levels.
The role also requires mentoring new or relatively new coaches on basically everything that comes our way throughout a hockey season be it managing the dressing rooms, setting up team activities, establishing practice plans, communicating with other bench staff and parents, and creating goals for the players and team as a whole to strive towards throughout the season.
The coordinator attends practices for each of the teams assigned to them for 3-4 sessions each throughout the year in order to prepare a year end collective report per Association for all their teams at the assigned age level.
Once the reports are submitted at year end the coordinators will be compensated for their time and efforts with a $1000 stipend from HEO.
If you are interested in helping us out please contact Ed Luctkar our BMHL Director of House League at bmhl.dir@districtbhockey.ca and he can provide you with more details on what the roles involve.
